it's teeth - the broken pieces in a shipwreak mouth
shepherd little fishes into it's throaty howl
it's tongue loves like the kraken - a thousand lashes on the mast
a tattered mainsail cracks with a dead man's laugh

all the hopeless lost and lonely, all sailors lost to sea
the ghosts of tawdry ages long forgotten in their deep
i feel them all about me, see them rise from sunken caves
shadow figures beckon from the plundering waves
shape and form diminished in the tumbling weed

dread pirates haunt the ship in a bottle
